Pitch Shifter

What it does

Changes the pitch of your audio without affecting the tempo. Perfect for creating chipmunk effects, deep voice effects, or subtle pitch adjustments.

How to use

1. Upload your audio file (MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A)
2. Use the slider to adjust pitch from -12 to +12 semitones
3. Or click a preset button for quick effects
4. Click "Play Preview" to hear the changes
5. Click "Export & Download" to save your modified audio

Presets

• Chipmunk: +12 semitones (1 octave up)
• Deep Voice: -12 semitones (1 octave down)
• Helium: +8 semitones
• Darth Vader: -8 semitones
• Slight +: +3 semitones
• Slight -: -3 semitones

Technical details

Uses Web Audio API playbackRate with formula: rate = 2^(semitones/12). Export uses OfflineAudioContext for high-quality WAV output.

Why does export take time?

Export quality depends on file size and your device performance. Larger files take longer to process.
